The trans brake button is a kind of launch control. It locks the transmission and when you release the button the car is launched. So this is a serious button. It was located at the upper left side of the steering wheel. And that’s the problem. Not only I am right handed, but I do not want my thumb gets between the button and the the steering wheel. Oouucch…Solution was simple. We unbolted it and turned it so now its on the right side under the steering wheel spoke. Much safer.
The safety shield under the transmission was not fitted by the previous owner, because at first sight it does not fit. But when you lengthen the transmission cable bracket, there is more room for the shield and then it will fit. Also the trans cable will be more in line. We will have that bracket welded and put it in place next week.
